COACH LEWIS-WARD

Program Director

Coach Lewis-Ward 

AKA 'Coach Ward' 

Is the Director of Solar Elite Athletics. Coach Ward Graduated from the University of Georgia where he participated in Track and Field for the Georgia Bulldogs. Coach Ward specialized in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and relays.

Coach Ward's Top Performances:

100m: 10.34s

200m: 21.01s

400m: 46.57s

Coach Ward Created Solar Elite Athletics to help assist athletes in their path towards athletic and academic development. He continued to dedicate his educational pursuits toward learning the advancements within sports and kinesiology. Coach Ward also serves as an Assistant Coach for  Langston Hughes High School where he helped the panther win 3 straight Track State Championships for 6A and 5A (23', 24', 25').

Coach Lewis Ward also has 2 pieces of research that have been published through the college sports research institute:

2021: Coaches perspective on the effects and the implementation of technology on training design and athletic performance

Coach Eli

Speed Endurance/Special Endurance

(Intermediate Short Sprints/Long Sprints) 

Coach Eli competed for Wingate University, in Conference Carolina's. As an athlete he showed promise in the sprints, ranging from the 60m through the 400m. Coach Eli then transitioned to Shorter University where he will compete as a Primary 200m/400m athlete.

 

He is currently in his Junior year of college where he studies Sports Management/Sport Coaching.

 

As a Solar Elite Athletics Alumni he looks to return to the program as a assistant coach to help develop the next generation of runners.

Coach Mariah

Horizontal Jumps

(Beginners/Intermediate)

Coach Mariah has experience developing jumpers ranging from age 6- High School State Champion. She served as the Assistant Coach of Long Jumps of PACE Academy's GHSA 2023 4A State Championship Track Team. She Specializes in the specifics of Run-way approached, board precision, Landing execution, and Power production.

Coach Mariah has qualified for several World renowned competitions in the Long/Triple Jump, such as the Commonwealth Games where she placed 5th in the World classified event.

 

Coach Mariah attended school at Monmouth University in New Jersey where she competed in Track and Field and was ranked as an ALL American in the horizontal jumps.

She earned her Bachelors in Health studies, w/ a minor in Biology

Coach Kameron

Foundations and Mechanics

(Beginners Short Sprints/Long Sprints) 

Coach Kam competed for Division II Shorter  University, in Conference Carolina's. As an athlete she showed promise in the sprints, ranging from the 60m through the 400m. Coach Kam then transitioned to Brewton Parker College where she competes as a Primary 100m/200m/400m athlete.

 

She is currently in her Junior year of college where he studies Kinesiology/Sport Coaching.

 

As a Solar Elite Athletics Alumni she looks to return to the program as a assistant coach to help develop the next generation of runners.
